For the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund, the New Year started with a bang with its Bright Nights 50/50 jackpot totalling $525,660. The draw took place at the Burn Fund Centre on Monday, January 4th with the Board of Directors observing the draw over zoom.
Congratulations to K. Hirji of Burnaby, B.C., who is walking into 2021 a winner with a $262,830 prize.
This was the first time that the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund hosted a 50/50 draw. Named for the beloved holiday tradition, the Bright Nights 50/50 was created to recoup lost funds from the cancellation of Bright Nights in Stanley Park. All proceeds support burn survivor programs and much-needed fire prevention education. Thank you to everyone who purchased a 50/50 ticket. Your support helps to ensure that the Burn Fund can continue operating its programs year-round.
