Biography

BRIAN CATINUS - SECRETARY-TREASURER

Brian, a fire fighter with Saanich Fire Department and a member of Local 967 Saanich was acclaimed as Secretary-Treasurer at the 2023 BCPFFA Convention.

Brian previously, was President Local 967 and sat on several BCPFFA committees such as Finance, Grievance, Database/IT, Resolutions and Convention committees. Currently, assist or leads in contract negotiations for BC Local affiliates.

Brian is a representative on the following:

• BCPFFA Executive Board as Secretary-Treasurer

• BCPFF Burn Fund Board of Directors as Secretary-Treasurer - appointed

• 6th District Field Service Rep - appointed

Brian has played an integral role in BC’s labour movement moving the IAFF / BCPFFA agenda forward. Brian brings a strong leadership skill set to the board in areas of labour relations and government affairs.

When time permits, Brian enjoys spending time with family and coaching his daughters in sports.
